I’ve been waiting for Pasir Gudang International Kite Festival in JB for almost a year. Finally this day has come, I’ve visited the festival. It was really amazing: hundreds of colorful kites flying in the sky, sunny day, good music and smiling people. I’ve got tons of positive emotions. See my photos below
I expected to see kites-birds (like eagles or hawks). Thus it was really surprising to see seafood in the sky instead of birds:
Octopus, fish Ponyo, whale, Santas… what else:
Most of all I liked flying horses, but unfortunately they always fell down:
Those brown monkey looked quite scary:
Isn’t it beautiful?:
I liked this clown:

The festival was attended by representatives of different countries including France, Germany, the US, Austria, Thailand, Myanmar, Canada and so on. There even were representatives from my country, Russia, and from the Ukraine. I’ve talked to Ukrainian participants, they said that they specially came for this event from the Ukraine. They also said that it’s their first time in Malaysia and that they like this country very much!
For your information, Pasir Gudang World Kite Festival was holding 18-23th February 2014 in Johor Bahru, near Layang-Layang museum. This internationally acclaimed event has been hosted in JB since 1995. In 2014 festival have celebrated it’s 19th anniversary.

After the festival I was trying to fly a kite for the first time. I must say that it’s not as easy as it might seem!
Next year there will be 20th anniversary of the Kite Festival in Johor. I guess it will be even more great than this year. Looking forward to visiting it again
