TKK Seafood Restaurant
There are a few famous seafood restaurants at Teluk Jawa on the beach of Johor straits. TKK Restaurant is the second most popular after Todak seafood. Chinese (hokkien) name of TKK is 天公仔 (Tie Kong Kia) – it means “The Son of the God”. It’s a cozy romantic place where you can try fresh seafood for a reasonable price.
In the daytime the environment is relaxed and not crowded:
Enjoy the views of the Johor Straits and Singapore:
The TKK’s signature dishes are salted egg crab, prawns cooked in different ways (Indonesian curry, garlic and chili) and clams. Try their white pepper fish soup and “3 spices fried fish”. All the seafood in TKK are really fresh and delicious, but in my opinion size is just medium. For example, look at these prawns:
Last time we’ve been there at August 2013. We’ve ordered clam soup, slipper lobsters in chili and garlic sauce, fish, baby octopus and Chinese tea. The total cost of the dinner was RM 150 for 3 adults. I think, the price was reasonable especially with the good environment of the restaurant.
The most delicious baby octopus I’ve ever tried in JB:
Small slipper lobsters cooked with garlic and chili:
Clam soup – really delicious:
Fish:
Besides of seafood TKK offers noodles, tofu and chicken (halal food).
